Delta Gamma

Philanthropy Events

Since 1936, Service for Sight has been the heart of Delta Gamma's philanthropic mission. Recently, the foundation's grants have surpassed $2,800,000. Each year, Delta Gammas give more than 120,000 service hours hoping to help and touch the lives of others. To honor our national philanthropy, DGs perform weekly service at local senior home, Moravian Hall Square. At Moravian, our members partake in communal activities that include singing, playing games, or simply having a nice chat. Everyone has a great time!

In addition to our community service, our chapter donates funds to programs that aid those who suffer from blindness or visual impairments. We work hard to raise money for our national philanthropy, Service for Sight, in new and innovative ways through our Anchor Bowl flag-football tournament in the fall and Do Good Week in the spring. The Epsilon Xi chapter is proud of our efforts to continuously push our membership to exceed fundraising and service commitment goals. Here are a few milestone achievements:

  • In 2018, our chapter was the recipient of the Aaron O' Hoff Commitment to Service Award. This award recognizes an organization who has displayed significant effort for the improvement of the Lafayette campus through service and/or philanthropy.
  • In Spring 2019, Epsilon Xi exceeded national expectations by completing over 645 hours of community service and ranking as #2 out of all DG chapters nation-wide.
